Research is fun, there is no need to complicate it.
Hussein is a Professor and Chair of Information Technology at the
University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force
Academy (UNSW@ADFA) in Canberra, Australia. He has a BA, B.Sc.,
PG-Dip, and Masters all from Cairo University Egypt, a M.Sc. from
Edinburgh University Scotland, and a PhD from QUT Australia. He is
the Director of the Artificial Life and Adaptive Robotics
Laboratory at UNSW@ADFA, the Director of the university Defence and Security
Applications Research Centre (DSARC) at UNSW@ADFA, an Advisory
Professor at Vietnam National University, Ho-Chi Minh City, a fellow of the Australian
Computer Society (ACS), an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM), a
senior member of the IEEE, the chair of ACS National Committee on
Complex Systems, the chair of the IEEE Task Force on Complex
Adaptive Systems and Artificial Life, and a member of a number of
national and international committees including the IEEE technical
committee on Data Mining and the IEEE working group on soft
computing in the SMC society. He was a member of the NCRIS Expert Subcommittee for Safeguarding Australia in 2008. He is a member of the academic advisory board for The International Marketing Institute of Australia Ltd (IMIA), and a member of the scientific advisory board for SolveIT Software. |
